During this webinar, we will review the APA Ethics code, paying particular attention to the principles and standards relevant to I/O Psychologists. We will then break into small groups and present several ethical dilemmas submitted by I/O psychologists in the Atlanta area. Each group will identify the relevant ethical issues and tie them back to the APA Ethics code. Ethics resources and training tools on the SIOP website will also be showcased and examined.
Learning Objectives:
Based on the content of the session, participants should be able to:
- Describe the Principles and Standards in the APA Ethics code that are the most relevant to I/O Psychologists.
- Apply Principles and Standards from the APA Ethics code to a variety of dilemmas faced by I/O Psychologists.
- Locate various ethics resources and training tools on the SIOP website for further use.

This session is intended for a general audience at a post-graduate level; no specific content knowledge is required.
Continuing Education (CE) Credits:
This webinar is eligible for 3.0 continuing education credits for psychologists. You must attend the entire webinar to receive credit. No partial credit is allowed. Dave Lux, Ph.D. is the Assessment Manager with Koch Business Solutions and has spent the last 20+ years helping clients attract, select, and promote employees. He has worked on a variety of projects in the areas of selection system development and implementation, performance management, 360 surveys, background and drug screening, and tax credit utilization. He received his Ph.D in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Central Michigan University and is a licensed psychologist in Georgia.
Kimala Proctor, Ph.D. is the Founder/Executive Director of Transforming-Keys 2 Success (501c3 nonprofit) and a Talent Acquisition Manager. She also provides consultations on life/work balance for entrepreneurs. She has 25+ years of experience in global, business transformations that include diversity, equity, belonging, and inclusion, learning and development, data analysis, strategic planning, organizational development, and leadership development. Dr. Proctor graduated from Walden University with a Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology and a Masters in Reading & Literacy.
