The purpose of this seminar is to discuss and share information regarding select educational sessions on research trends for I-O psychologists and HR practitioners presented at the 41st annual conference of the Society of Industrial and Organizational Psychology (SIOP), New Orleans, LA. Dr. Michelle Streich will facilitate a session in which presenters will share highlights from presentations given at the annual conference and discuss implications for teaching and/or practice. The format will be an informal discussion with audience participation encouraged throughout. Handouts will be provided as appropriate in advance of, or following, the session.

This seminar is intended for a general audience at a postgraduate level; no specific content knowledge is required.
Learning Objectives
Based on the content of the session, participants should be able to:
- Highlight current research efforts and advancements in the field of I-O Psychology and related HR practices for each of the three sessions presented at this webinar.
- Explain and discuss at least one current trend in I-O Psychology from each of the three selected sessions that are relevant to faculty members and practitioners on HR development including leadership, talent management, and people analytics.
- Identify and critique immediate- and longer-term implications of the current trends identified from the three selected sessions on teaching and practice, including the application of these findings.
- Identify two or three of the ideas/trends/strategies gleaned from these discussions that can and/or will be applied to one’s own current practice and/or teaching approach.

Continuing Education (CE) Credits
This seminar is eligible for 3.0 continuing education credits for psychologists. To qualify for these credits, the entire program must be attended. There is no partial credit available. SIOP will email CE letters 30 days after the session to the individuals who responded "Yes" to question #1 on the post-event evaluation.

Your Presenters

Dr. Rob Stilson, PhD
Rob Stilson is a Data Scientist at Lockheed Martin specializing in Agentic AI and People Analytics, and a part-time professor at the University of Georgia. He brings deep cross-sector experience in applied people analytics, having held senior roles at HP, Inc. (Product Manager, Employee Listening), Boston Scientific (Principal Analyst, Talent Analytics and Insights), and PwC's Workforce Transformation practice (Manager, People Analytics). Earlier in his career, Rob served as a Senior Human Capital Analyst at Lockheed Martin, focusing on Employee Life Cycle Analytics and survey research, and held research and assessment leadership roles at TalentQuest and FurstPerson, where he developed computer adaptive and static assessments, simulations, and ROI analyses for a range of clients. He also maintains an independent consulting practice focused on reporting automation and assessment design.
Dr. Stilson holds a B.S. in Psychology from the University of Georgia and a PhD in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the University of South Florida. He is a member of the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology (SIOP), People Analytics Future of Work (PAFOW), and the Georgia Association for Industrial Organizational Psychology (GAIOP), and an ally member of Blacks in Industrial Organizational Psychology (BIOP).

Dave Lux, PhD
Dave Lux, PhD is an HR Compliance Specialist - Assessment Manager with Koch Capabilities, LLC and has spent the last 20+ years helping clients attract, select, and promote employees. He has worked on a variety of projects in the areas of selection system development and implementation, performance management, 360 surveys, background and drug screening, equal pay analyses, and WOTC utilization. He is also responsible for government reporting. He received his MA and PhD in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from Central Michigan University and his BA in Psychology from the University of Michigan. He is a member of the Society for Industrial/Organizational Psychology (SIOP) and is a licensed psychologist (PSY002392) in Georgia.

Randall Lucius, PhD
Randall Lucius has been with Emory for over 14 years and works as the Assistant Vice President of Learning and Organizational Development. Prior to joining Emory, he worked as a consultant, with nearly 20 years of progressive consulting experience that spans such diverse areas as executive assessment and coaching, job analysis, competency modeling, employee selection, litigation support, performance management, 360 degree feedback, frame-of-reference training, organizational re-structuring, employee opinion surveys, personality assessment, and leadership development. He has worked for numerous organizations of all sizes and types from small to the Fortune 500, government agencies, and non-profit.
Dr. Lucius graduated from The University of Georgia with a doctorate degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology. Prior experiences include Research Director for Fitability, Project Manager for Applied Psychological Techniques, and Vice President of the Turknett Leadership Group. Dr. Lucius is the co-author of the Fitability 5, a personality-based assessment administered to over a quarter-million individuals across the US. Dr. Lucius co-founded Organizational Diagnostics Online, a company acquired by Fitability in 2001.
Dr. Lucius has served as a part-time clinical assistant professor of the Industrial-Organizational Master’s degree program at the University of Georgia for the last 12 years. Dr. Lucius is also a licensed psychologist, has been certified as a Senior Competent Professional by the Society for Human Resource Management, has served as an adjunct faculty member at Oglethorpe University, and once served as the President for the Atlanta Society of Applied Psychology.
